An iron artist flings molten metal against a wall to create a fiery display at the Feb. 28 performance pour for Highlands University’s Iron Tribe 2019. The biennial Iron Tribe is an internationally known iron art event established by Highlands fine arts professor David Lobdell in 2001. Iron Tribe also includes an art exhibition of contemporary iron artists’ work from across the U.S. and around the globe, a symposium, and an iron casting session in the university’s art foundry. The event ends Saturday, March 2.
