Quick Wins
Do you see a problem on campus that you know could be fixed quickly and easily?
Submit your idea to Quick Wins!
Quick Wins is looking for creative solutions to problems on the NMHU campus. To be designated a Quick Win the solution must be something which can be implemented quickly, easily, and for low cost.
Submit your idea to the Quick Wins Committee through the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Research! Click here!Purpose: The Quick Wins program is designed to celebrate the creative problem solving
abilities of the members of the NMH community by quickly implementing their solutions
for easily addressed problems at the university. Students, staff, faculty and community
members are invited to submit their ideas to the Quick Wins Committee. The committee
will then evaluate the ideas for possible implementation.
The Quick Wins Committee: The committee will have five members; one
administrator, one faculty member, one student, and two staff members. Membership
shall be through self-nomination and appointed by the president. Terms will last one
year. The committee shall meet weekly at the start of the program, but then may move to
evaluating submissions via email once the process is working smoothly. The committee
shall report to the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Research, who will serve as
an ex-officio member of the committee.
The Evaluation Process: Anyone can submit and idea for a Quick Win through the
Quick Wins link on the web site of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Research.
The submissions will then be circulated to the members of the committee for evaluation.
In order to be designated a Quick Win, the idea must address a problem that is not
currently being addressed at the university, and be able to be implemented quickly,
easily, and with low or little cost.
The committee shall classify each submission into one of three categories: A Quick Win;
a problem that is already being addressed; or a problem that is not being addressed, but
the solution does not fit the Quick Wins criteria. The committee will then forward the
submissions to the president for his review and distribution to the appropriate unit for
possible implementation. The unit will be asked to report back to the committee on the
status of the submission within one week, and the committee will then communicate that
information to the individual who submitted the idea. Ideas which are successfully
implemented will be described on the web site, and perhaps in global emails to the
university community.
