Sendero, New Mexico Highlands University's annual literary and art publication, is actively soliciting works for the 2006 edition. As a small literary magazine, we concentrate on publishing quality works of both academic and aesthetic merit. In this vein, Sendero petitions for the following works:

Writing

flash fiction (limit: 250-500 words)
fiction (limit: 2,000 words)
non-fiction (limit: 2,000 words)
poetry (minimum of three poems on separate pages)
humorous essays (limit: 2,000 words; no jokes, please)

Mixed Genre

black and white media only
photographic essay (limit: 500 words)
comics (limit: one page per entry)

Art

black and white media only
photography
drawings
etchings

All text entries must be submitted twice: a hard copy and electronically (via Email) or on a disk as a .doc file. Entries not submitted in this format will not be considered. Submit artwork via e-mail as an attachment or on a disk. Please do not send original artwork.

Submissions will not be returned. Deadline: Friday, February 3, 2006
