Human Performance and Sport with a Concentration in Athletic Training

This undergraduate program is designed to teach students the competencies for national certification a an athletic trainer (ATC). Students in this concentration are encouraged to minor in Secondary Education, in order to obtain K-12 teaching licensure in New Mexico. Most job opportunities in Athletic Training go to qualified teachers.

Plan of Study

These courses are required for a Concentration in Athletic Training. Additionally, the Plan of Study includes a suggested progression of coursework from the freshman through senior years. Students must complete all prerequisites before advanced coursework may be taken.
