NMHU @ ENMU/Roswell
The MSW program offered at the Eastern New Mexico University/Roswell campus, which includes a
Clinical Practice Concentration, is structured as a part-time program geared toward working adults. All
classes are offered evenings and on Saturdays. Students complete the program within eight semesters.
Classes are offered on-site at the Roswell campus and via ITV to Artesia, Hobbs and Clovis, New Mexico.
As the only graduate social work program in southeastern New Mexico, ITV provides students with
accessibility to the program, while remaining in their home communities.
Roswell, New Mexico is a community of 48,000 with agriculture and oil and gas extraction as the main
industry in the area. Students have an opportunity to work primarily in rural practice in various human
service agencies within the area. The majority of students attending the program have full-time jobs or
other family responsibilities. An average of 50 students are enrolled in the program per academic year.
The program has two full-time administrative and a cadre of adjunct faculty who are practicing social work
professionals in the area. |
