Welcome to the fall semester at New Mexico Highlands University! Listed below is important information that will assist you with most campus resources.
General Information
- You may use your Highlands username to access resources, including Blackboard/WebCT, self service banner, and student email. You will receive a welcome letter from Educational Outreach Services. For your convenience, your username is in the shaded box in the top right corner of the welcome letter.
- To access your course materials, go to the Highlands homepage at http://www.nmhu.edu and click on the quick links drop down list, then click on the Blackboard link, which will take you to the Web Campus homepage. Follow instructions to login to Blackboard/WebCT. If you have problems accessing Blackboard/WebCT, please call our Help Desk Office at 505-426-2074 or 505-426-2276. The Help Desk support is available Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- To purchase your textbooks, please call the Highlands Bookstore at 1-877-248-9856, (505) 454-3348, or (505) 454-3349.

ITV Classes
- Students participating in an Interactive Television course (ITV), regardless of location, must complete the photos/video/audio recordings release form enclosed with your welcome letter. Our office is required to have a signed release form from every ITV student. Please complete the form and mail it to the following address:

- All course materials should be available in Blackboard/WebCT. You should login to Blackboard/WebCT, prior to the start of class, for special instructions

Internet Classes
- All students participating in an ITV course must complete the photo/video/audio recordings release form enclosed with your welcome letter.
- Chat time hours are posted on the Highlands on-line class schedule.
- All course materials are available in Blackboard/WebCT. You should login to Blackboard/WebCT prior to the start of class for special instructions.

Traditional Face-to-Face classes supported by WebCT
- Your professor may choose to post your class materials on Blackboard/WebCT. You will be notified during your first class session.
