Interactive Television Classes

Each semester we collaborate with NMHU Academic departments both on main campus and at the Centers in offering a number of classes through ITV.

Please Note: We no longer mail or fax course material, such as syllabi and handouts. To access your course material and textbook information, login to WebCT.

You will need your NMHU e-mail username to login into the WebCT server. If you have problems accessing WebCT, please contact the the Help Desk Office at 426-2074 or 426-2215 during regular business hours.

Whats involved in taking an ITV class?

  • Classes are held in a distance education classroom at one of the NMHU Centers or at a site near you.
  • The instructor is at the origination site (usually Las Vegas) and communicates with you through the video conferencing network.
  • You will see the instructor, students at other sites and course materials ( such as power point, video, documents, spreadsheets and white board.
  • Students from other sites will be able to see and communicate with you as well.
  • You will be expected to participate in class discussions.

Please Note -

  • Each class has a web site where you will obtain course materials, such as your text book info, the course syllabus & other course materials.
  • This information should be available for you at least one week before your class starts.
  • If you want a copy of your syllabus or other materials, to reference during class, you should access the materials before class, because your DE CLassroom may not have a printer.
  • Access information will be included on your "Distance Education Welcome Letter"
