Anthropology Resources

The human riches of Northern New Mexico provide one context for social, and cultural studies at Highlands University. Students engage in field archaeological digs and in ethnographic research. Each student has the opportunity to conduct research in three well-equipped discipline facilities: Gabino Rendon Sociocultural Research Center and Anthropology Lab. Studies of human behavior emphasize field data and computer applications for analysis and interpretation.

The Department provides two computer labs for student use where students have access to statistical packages of SPSS, Microsoft, and the Internet.

A student organization, such as AntS (Anthropology-Sociology) Club, provides opportunities for student participation and program enrichment beyond the classroom.
