Human Performance and Sport with a Concentration in Athletic Training
This undergraduate program is designed to teach students the competencies for national certification as an athletic trainer (ATC). Students in this concentration are encouraged to minor in secondary education in order to obtain K-12 teaching licensure in New Mexico. Most job opportunities in athletic training go to qualified teachers.
Plan of Study
These courses are required for a concentration in athletic training. Additionally, the Plan of Study includes a suggested progression of coursework from the freshman through senior years. Students must complete all prerequisites before advanced coursework may be taken.
