The recreation and sport management program provides the management skills necessary to develop and manage recreation and sport organizations and athletic programs. Our program delivers to students a variety of fundamental courses in business, including principles of management, marketing, financial management, and accounting as well as major courses in sport management, sport marketing, economics and finance of sport, planning areas and facilities, and many others.  Upon completion of our program, students are expected to realize an improved ability to understand concepts in sport management principles and practices and learn how to deal with financial and marketing issues that arise in everyday business. Students in this concentration are encouraged to minor in business.
