The Department of Math, Computer Science, Engineering & Physics offers degrees in mathematics and engineering as well as minors in computer science, mathematics and physics.
The department trains students in the fields of mathematics, engineering and physics. By encouraging and developing problem-solving, numerical methods, mathematical prowess, critical/analytical thinking, and practical, laboratory-based skills, our students are well prepared for careers in any combination of these fields, either via solid preparation for further graduate education or immediate entrance into the workforce (industry, teaching, and national labs).
The engineering program prepares students for professional practice and graduate studies in engineering. By offering fundamental core courses in both electrical and mechanical engineering with specialized tracks, the program produces engineers versed in interdisciplinary team approaches to problem solving.
