This workshop will provide the clinician with an understanding of suicide and self-harm and how to approach working with suicidal youth and their families. Strategies for assessment and safety planning will be taught along with developing comprehension of levels of care and treatment options.  The course will utilize a strengths-based systems approach and will incorporate experiential learning to ensure that participants are prepared to work directly with suicidal youth and families.
