In this three-hour session, I will review recent professional literature on grief theory and treatment relevant to professional social work practice. We will discuss grief work as an aspect of attachment healing throughout the life cycle. Interpersonal and intergenerational sources and manifestations of grief and sorrow will be addressed. Finally, we will examine grief work as a regular and essential aspect of professional self-care.
