This workshop is designed for any behavioral health provider who wants to improve their documentation, assessment and diagnostic skills. The course will provide an overview of regulatory requirements, break-down the components of mental health assessments, treatment planning, progress notes, discharge summaries and examine the process of formulating clinical diagnoses. Emphasis will be placed on learning medical necessity terminology and developing functional skills in clinical documentation. Participants are expected to participate in group activities and class discussions. You are encouraged to bring an example of clinical documentation.
