August 31, 2016: Highlands notified by HLC of probation via the Public Disclosure Notice.
September 8, 2016: Highlands received the HLC Action Letter, detailing the exact reasons why Highlands was placed on probation.
September 1, 2017: Highlands must be in compliance with the new Qualified Faculty Guidelines.
September 11, 2017: Highlands must make an assurance filing to the HLC, providing evidence that we have resolved all probation areas identified in the Action Letter.
November 6-8: Highlands will host an on-campus HLC visit to follow up on the Assurance Filing and to make sure we have met all HLC Accreditation criteria and resolved all probation areas.
June 2018: The HLC board will review Highlands’ probation status and determine the appropriate next steps.
