Air National Guard Band Concert

The Air National Guard Band of the Gulf Coast will perform a free concert at Highlands University’s llfeld Auditorium Sunday, July 6, at 6 p.m. following the Las Vegas 4th of July Fiestas.  Ilfeld Auditorium is at 900 University Ave. on the university campus. The band is the official band of the state of Texas and is based at Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base.  The 36-member unit has performed for audiences around the world.  In recent years, the band has given overseas concerts in Barbados, Bolivia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Nicaragua, Trinidad, Vanuatu and stateside concerts in Arkansas, Hawaii, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Wisconsin. The band unit provides a variety of music for its audiences, including concert band, jazz band, popular music ensemble, and brass quintet.   It is known for its high-quality musicianship and professionalism.Paid sponsorship for the concert include Highlands University radio station KEDP, local radio stations KMDZ and KNMX, and the Las Vegas /San Miguel Chamber of Commerce.
