New Mexico Highlands University’s Angella Graham opened her 2010 indoor season in earnest at the two-day Lobo Challenge and New Mexico Invitational held Jan. 29-30th in Albuquerque, NM. The three-time HU track All-American bounded to an NCAA automatic qualifying mark of 12.32 meters in the Triple Jump, a new school record and the second best jump in the nation among DII athletes so far in 2010. Additionally, Graham posted provisional qualifying marks in the 60H (8.88, #10 on the national list, a new HU record) and the Long Jump (5.60, #14 on the national list).
Senior Carolina Garcia also set a new Highlands record with an outstanding performance in the 3000 meter run in Saturday’s events.
