The School of Education at New Mexico Highlands University has a storied history ranging from normal school preparation to comprehensive graduate-level programming. Connected to the past with a focus on the future, the Highlands University Center for Professional Development is designed to construct a teaching and learning support structure that will serve northern New Mexico students, its schools, and our communities.
Studies show that students who have a solid grounding in math, science and reading are more likely to finish high school.
Like all teachers, middle school educators are limited in the resources they have to draw upon, and budget cuts to our educational systems threaten even those.
