Biology researcher Lisa Bentson, left, congratulates Elizabeth Ratzlaff, who received the Outstanding Service Award at the 13th Annual Highlands University Employee Recognition Awards Ceremony on May 1. Ratzlaff has served as the university’s coordinator for the Achieving in Research Math and Science (ARMAS) Center since its inception in 2009. ARMAS provides comprehensive support services to students in the disciplines of science, technology, engineering and math with the goal of increasing graduation rates. Prior to her position with ARMAS, Ratzlaff was the coordinator for the Dual Credit Program from 2006 — 2009.
