Alex Gaines, Highlands University media arts junior and a member of the football team, helps clean up the Gallinas River Walk in Las Vegas April 27. The university’s Media Arts Seminar II students organized the event, including Gaines and fellow students Shanoaleigh Roseby, Xena Montoya, Andrew Shepard and Matthew Threadgill. Youth from the Las Vegas Elite USSSA baseball team also helped at the clean up, which stretched from Bridge Street to Mills Ave. Leonard Lucero, media arts junior, coaches the baseball team.
