Las Vegas, N.M – Highlands University presents an award-winning hypnotist show Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. in the university’s historic Ilfeld Auditorium, 900 University Ave.

General admission tickets for the chrisjones performance are $5. Highlands students with valid HU IDs are free.

“This is sure to be a fun and intriguing show for our Highlands students and the community,” said Highlands Dean of Students Kimberly Blea.

Blea said the language for the hypnotist show is rated PG-13.

The hypnotist, who uses the stage name chrisjones, is a Chicago-born native who tours college campuses nationally, delivering an energetic and interactive show.

“While in graduate school I became fascinated with the art of hypnosis and found the missing piece of my comedy show,” said chrisjones, who holds a master’s degree in therapeutic recreation. “I worked to find the perfect balance of conjuring, psychology, comedy and suggestion.”

The hypnotist has won a number of awards including being name the 2015 Hypnotist of the Year by the Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities and 2014 Best Variety Artist by Campus Activities Magazine.

Arts@HU is sponsoring the chrisjones show.
