We love the process so much; we have created an art form around that ephemeral liquid state.
The artifact of that hot state, that liquefying process, also endures and continues to bring me back to object making. I continue to love iron when it’s hot and when it’s not. That’s why, for the Iron Tribe, I’m generating 140+ pounds of liquid steel in a hollow tree trunk which will pour out a knot hole into a mold. And that’s why I submitted a piece for the gallery show that’s all about iron in it’s cool, age old state. |
