I love being part of something so fundamentally active as the iron pours and the spirit of communal creativity.
Although the final piece doesn’t always come out as expected there is always a sense of joy at opening a mould and seeing what’s inside.
I have always been fascinated by the human form and the different ways it can be represented and feel with iron I am exploring another avenue of expression, utilising its unique properties to make work that simply wouldn’t exist in the same way if I’d done in a different media.
