New Mexico Highlands University faculty, students, alumni, staff and courtesy card holders can obtain material not available at the Donnelly Library. If you need books or articles that Donnelly Library does not have, the Interlibrary Loan Department will attempt to borrow it from another library. You must be a registered user in good standing to be eligible for this service.
Before you place a request, check the library's
online catalog and
NetLibrary.
Submit one form per request - Limit: 10 requests per week.
Books must be returned to the Donnelly Library or Rio Rancho Circulation Desk on or before the due date given on the front of the book; otherwise, future requests to borrow books may be denied. Contact the ILL Office before the due date if you need a renewal. Failure to return books will result in the patron being charged for replacement costs.
NOTE: We do not have a carrier service; therefore, all books borrowed from other libraries are shipped by 4th class mail. Occasionally, some books are shipped by FedEx or UPS. There is no way to pin-point an exact arrival date. If an item arrives too late for your use, you are still responsible for any and all charges. All free locations are contacted first. If charges are connected with borrowing, you will be notified before the item is ordered so you may decide if you want the item or not. Materials with charges are never ordered without first consulting the patron.
