Fort Union — An historically valuable collection consisting of correspondence to and from the commanding officers of the Fort, reports and medical and military documents. This may be used as an historical reference in studies of New Mexico history, history of the Santa Fe Trail, Civil War and Indian history. Fort Union was occupied from 1851 through 1890. |

Las Vegas History Programs -- The Las Vegas History Programs on CD is a collaborative project of The Citizens Committee for Historic Preservation of Las Vegas (CCHP), Las Vegas’ KFUN Radio (Joseph and Loretta Baca), and Dr. Jesús López. The 24-CD-set of the Las Vegas History Programs by Dr. López aired on KFUN Radio January through July, 2010. Topics include Las Vegas’ political history, land grants, historical families, important leaders, the railroad, Highland’s University, local legends, businesses, churches, and fiestas. A detailed index accompanies the set. |

| Beisman Collection |
|
| |
The Beisman Collection consists of both artifacts and paper material from the Beisman Land Surveying business, dating from the 1930s through the 1980s. Henry Beisman also obtained older maps, some dating to the 1880s. The artifacts include furniture and survey equipment. The paper material includes survey maps & plats (7,500+), business records, field notebooks, day planners, photographs, and books. Mr. Beisman worked in northern New Mexico, primarily in the town of Las Vegas and in San Miguel, Mora, Guadalupe and Colfax counties. This collection is available by appointment only.
