Fort Union — An historically valuable collection consisting of correspondence to and from the commanding officers of the Fort, reports and medical and military documents. This may be used as an historical reference in studies of New Mexico history, history of the Santa Fe Trail, Civil War and Indian history. Fort Union was occupied from 1851 through 1890. |
