Pueblo of Zia Drum Group Performs at Native American Convocation

Todd Toya and Steven Toya Jr. perform with the Southern Slam Drum Group during the Native American Convocation at New Mexico Highlands University. The brothers are both students at the university and members of the Pueblo of Zia. Their father, Steven Toya Sr., gave the blessing at the convocation and also performed with his sons and nephew, Brandon Shije. The elder Toya founded the Southern Slam Drum Group more than 25 years ago and is its lead singer.
