Las Vegas, N.M. — The New Mexico Highlands University RN-BSN Program will host an open house Oct. 16 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the university’s Engineering Building, 916 11th St., Room 104.

Registered nurses who have earned an associate degree in nursing and want to learn how to transition to the RN-BSN Program at Highlands are encouraged to attend. Students who are still completing their ADNs are also welcome.

The open house is free and light refreshments will be served.

“If you are already an RN, you can earn your BSN at Highlands through affordable online instruction and clinical education close to home,” said Susan Williams, director, RN-BSN Program. “This open house is about looking at new career opportunities a BSN will bring.

“It will be an informal evening with time to get all your questions answered, and talk with nursing faculty and advisers,” Williams said.

Williams said that the RN-BSN Program offers both a part-time and full-time option, giving its students flexibility in balancing work and family responsibilities.

The RN-BSN Program is accredited by the National Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
