Highlands Rio Rancho Center
You can get your bachelor’s or master’s degree locally! Courses can be completed through live instruction, interactive television, and the Internet. Classes are held in the mornings, late afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays. Highlands has responded to numerous requests to expand educational opportunities in this locale to address needs of residents, businesses, and schools. In addition, an RN-BSN completion program is offered via distance education to nurses who have earned an associate’s degree in nursing.
We make transferring from CNM easy!
New Mexico Highlands wants to help you reach your goals. That’s why we offer a convenient 2+2 program with CNM. Spend your first two years completing an AA or AAS degree at CNM, then transfer to Highlands-Rio Rancho to complete your bachelor’s degree. You can also take CNM classes while enrolled at Highlands. An agreement between Highlands and CNM allows you to be dual enrolled and receive financial aid for courses taken at both institutions.
To transfer into undergraduate programs in teacher education or business at NMHU – Rio Rancho, students must:
· Be officially classified as a junior or senior by the start of their first semester at Highlands – Rio Rancho.
· Complete their program of study’s lower-division core requirements (as they are prerequisites to the upper-division NMHU coursework).
· Possess a minimum of 35 transferable credits, and/or an AA or AS degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
