Interactive Television
Each semester, we collaborate with NMHU academic departments both on main campus and at the centers in offering a number of classes through ITV.
Whats involved in taking an ITV class?
- Classes are held in a distance education classroom at one of the NMHU centers or at a site near you.
- The instructor is at the origination site (usually Las Vegas) and communicates with you through the video conferencing network.
- You will see the instructor, students at other sites and course materials ( such as power point, video, documents, spreadsheets and whiteboard).
- Students from other sites will be able to see and communicate with you as well.
- You will be expected to participate in class discussions.
If you have questions or need further assistance, please give our office a call at our toll-free telephone number, which is 877-248-9854
Please Note: We no longer mail or fax course material, such as syllabi and handouts.
To access your course material and textbook information, login to Blackboard. You will need your NMHU e-mail username to login into the Blackboard. If you have problems accessing Blackboard, please contact the the Blackboard Help Desk Office at 426-2276 or 426-2215 during regular business hours.
Please Note:
- Each class has a Web site where you will obtain course materials, such as your text book info, the course syllabus and other course materials.
- This information should be available for you at least one week before your class starts.
- If you want a copy of your syllabus or other materials, to reference during class, you should access the materials before class, because your DE classroom might not have a printer.
- Access information will be included on your "Distance Education Welcome Letter"
