About Career Services
NMHU Career Services helps students, alumni, faculty, and staff connect academic experiences with career goals. Our department supports career exploration, professional development, employment preparation, internships, student employment, and connections with employers and campus partners.
We work with students at every stage of their career journey, whether they are choosing a major, building a resume, searching for an internship, preparing for interviews, applying for jobs, or planning for life after graduation. Through one-on-one support, career resources, workshops, employer events, and online tools, Career Services helps students develop the skills and confidence they need to pursue meaningful career paths.
Career Services also partners with faculty and staff to support student success across campus. We can assist with classroom presentations, career-readiness programming, student referrals, employer connections, internship resources, and professional development opportunities that help students connect what they are learning at NMHU to future careers.
What Career Services Provides
For Students and Alumni
Career Services offers support with resume and cover letter development, job and internship searches, mock interviews, career planning, Handshake, SkillsFirst, career fairs, employer events, and preparation for graduate school or professional opportunities.
For Faculty and Staff
Career Services can provide classroom presentations, career-readiness resources, employer engagement support, student referral assistance, and collaboration on programs that connect students with internships, jobs, and professional development opportunities.
For Employers and Community Partners
Career Services helps employers connect with NMHU students and alumni through job and internship postings, career fairs, recruiting events, campus partnerships, and opportunities to share industry knowledge with students.
