Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Appointments are highly recommended. Online services are accessible 24/7. We are located in the Felix Martinez Bldg, Second Floor, Suite 230. Please stop in and visit with us.

We assist students and alumni with career planning. We can help you find internships related to your major and learn effective job search skills that showcase your classroom knowledge and skills, extra-curricular activities, work and volunteer experiences. We can even help you make connections with regional and global employers!

Services we offer:

Skills First Logo

SkillsFirst is a career management system with modules and custom templates to create resumes, cover letters, and career portfolios; and practice mock interviewing skills.  Students and recent graduates can log into SkillsFirst using their NMHU credentials and use any of the 500+ templates to strengthen their materials.

Handshake logo

The Handshake job platform creates a space for NMHU Students and Alumni to seek professional opportunities. Handshake connects users with employers, source jobs and internships, find event information, and register for on-campus recruiting opportunities. Employers also utilize Handshake as a recruitment tool, to identify qualified candidates for open positions and manage on-campus recruitment activities.
