A Reading and Discussion series
Join us @ Donnelly Library for a reading and discussion series led by local scholar Brandon Kempner. Let's Talk About It: Muslim Journeys will feature lively discussion of five books relating to the theme, Points of View.

All discussions will begin at 7 p.m. in Donnelly Library at 802 National Ave. Copies of the books are available from Donnelly Library. Brandon Kempner, associate professor of English at Highlands University, will lead a discussion of the book at each session.

Koran by Heart: A Film Screening and DiscussionThursday, November 14, 2013 at 6:00 p.m.: Dr. Amal Alhosban, Assistant Professor of Computer Science, at Highlands University and Dr. Eric Winkel will lead a film screening and discussion of the HBO documentary Koran by Heart: One Chance to Remember. NMHU International Students will answer questions and help facilitate discussion after the screening. This program will take place in the Student Union Building Theater. This event is free and open to the public. This program is co-sponsored by the NMHU International Club. Word as ArtThursday, October 24th, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.: Ester OFearghail , Assistant Professor of Art History at Highlands University, will give a lecture and lead a film screening and discussion of the calligraphy section of the documentary Islamic Art: Mirror of the Invisible World. This program will take place in Donnelly Library, room 141. This program is free and open to the public.
