Vistas Sin Limites is a not-for-profit vocational service agency that provides services to developmental disabled, mental health, substance abuse, individuals. We are CARF accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
Whom does Vistas Sin Limites @ Highlands serve?
The majority of people served by Vistas Sin Limites have either developmental disabilities, mental health, or alcohol and substance abuse issues. These individuals must reside in either San Miguel or Mora county.
What does Vistas Sin Limites @ Highlands do?
Vistas Sin Limites provides opportunities for full inclusion in the workplace and the community for adults with developmental, mental health, or alcohol and substance abuse. It provides advocacy and support to its consumers, family members, and employers in the vocational area. This may include:
- Job Club, peer support
- Employment preparation: interview techniques, job applications, resumes
- Job developing
- Job placement
- Job coaching/training
- Social Security/Benefits counseling

Limites Supported Employment Program is for individuals to:

Who is Vistas Sin Limites at Highlands?
Vistas Sin Limites at Highlands began its Supported Employment Program in July of 1986. The program has been named "exemplary" by the Southwest Educational Developmental Laboratory's Regional Rehabilitation Exchange, and is CARF-accredited (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities).
The Vistas Sin Limites staff is well trained. Support and training is received from the Department of Health, Long Term Services Division and from HighlandsU faculty who hold doctorate level degrees.
Vistas Sin Limites Employment specialists are students at Highlands pursuing degrees in special education, social work, counseling, rehabilitation counseling and psychology. Vistas Sin Limites has partnered with the Division Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), West Las Vegas Schools, Las Vegas City Schools, Highlands Work/Goals Program, Las Vegas Community-based Services and Rio Grande Detox Center.
