Heart Month decorations

Margaret McKinney/Highlands University

Highlands University junior Peter Castillon, a psychology major/Spanish minor, puts the finishing touches on the Recruitment Office’s door for American Heart Month in February. Castillon, a 20-year-old from Indio, Calif., is a student ambassador and work-study student in recruitment. He designed the recruitment door and decorating was a team effort. Door decorating was the last activity for the Department of Exercise and Sports Sciences’ series of awareness-raising events during Heart Month. ESS professor Ruthy Watson, coordinator of Health Promotion and Health Education, spearheaded the education outreach effort to the campus community.
