The office of Institutional Effectiveness and Research (OIER) provides institutional information on our website. Prior to submitting your request for institutional data, please review the information already available on the OIER website.

What type of information does the OIER NOT provide?

Media or Public record requests should be directed to our Office of University Relations.

What security responsibilities are assumed when receiving institutional data?

All information produced by OIER IS confidential and protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). It is the responsibility of the requesting party to understand and agree to these protections prior to submitting any request.

Data Requests:

If you are unable to find the data, you are looking for on our website, please fill out and submit our Institutional Research data request form. Most of these data are actually owned by other offices and contain highly confidential and sensitive information. There is also considerable time and effort involved in preparing datasets for external analysis.

The information requested may take from a few days to several weeks to complete, depending on the complexity of the request, the availability of information, and the workload of the OIER staff at the time of the request. It is best to plan ahead and provide as much notice as possible when submitting a request. If needed, someone from our office will contact you to discuss your request in more detail. Please note that data requests that are an institutional priority may delay your request.

What is the process for requesting data?

If you are unable to find the data you are looking for in the reports on our main website, please complete all sections of the of our data request form and submit it along with any supporting documentation that can assist in completing your request promptly.  Save or print a copy of the form for your records.
