Stafford Hood, founding director of the Center for Culturally Responsive Evaluation and Assessment at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, speaks at Highlands Sept. 26. Hood is national leader in building culturally responsive assessment tools that address social justice issues in schools. He is also a professor of curriculum and instruction and educational psychology. The university’s Center for Teaching Excellence sponsored Hood’s talk along with the Highlands Diversity Council.
