Thank you, and have fun!

It’s not all about the books.

Las Vegas, New Mexico is nestled into a unique geological landscape. It’s a setting created from ancient volcanic eruptions, whose legacy includes broad mountains, local hot springs and the open meadows that gave Las Vegas its Spanish name. No wonder there is so much to do when you need a break! photo of two paddle boaters

Photo of skiersThe Outdoor Recreation Center makes it easy for you to take advantage of all this. We provide the opportunities to explore – think snowboarding, hiking, and skiing trips – and we lend you all the equipment you need to make the most of it!

Campers can borrow essentials like two- to 10-person tents, camp chairs, cookstoves, backpacks, sleeping bags, and headlamps. Love the water? We’ll lend you anything from a fishing rod to a kayak. We also have mountain bikes and helmets for your use. All you have to do is return everything undamaged, and make plans for your next adventure off the pages.
