New Mexico Highlands University held a ribbon cutting April 26 for its new state-of-the-art Student Union Building. From left, university Regent Nancy Long, Regent Frank Marchi, Regent Chair Leveo Sanchez, university President Jim Fries, Regent Vice Chair Jésus Lopez, and New Mexico State Treasurer James Lewis. The striking 67,000-square foot contemporary building offers many new amenities for students and the community. Numerous green design features throughout the light-filled building make it environmentally friendly.
