The Highlands University Student Health Center is for the use of enrolled students, faculty, staff, and their dependents. Students have no co-pay (lab and Rx are extra).
Dependents may utilize the Highlands University Student Health Center at a discount. In order for us to best serve your needs, we request that you call in advance for an appointment at 505.454.3218.
We accept walk-ins, on a stand-by basis only.
Student athlete physicals can be obtained by appointment.
Students pay a reduced fee for outside laboratory services, plus a $10 handling fee. Specialty referrals, hospital charges, and emergency department visits are the responsibility of the student.

Sports Physicals: Students receive a 35 percent discount on formulary prescriptions at local pharmacies. Dependents do not qualify for the pharmacy discount.
Hours of Operation
The student clinic is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m. On other weekdays, students may access the same quality care at the El Centro main clinic across the street from the Wilson Complex, at 1235 8th Street.
El Centro Family Health has been operating the Highlands Student Health Center since 1992. This collaborative relationship benefits the Highlands community by bringing high quality health care to students and staff free of charge and at a discount to their family members.
Highlands University contracts with El Centro to help cover costs of care and provides the space for the clinic. A portion of student fees are used to help pay for this contract.
