We have three plans and a variety of options, including an onsite dining hall and the Purple Brew coffee shop. Flex dollars can also be used in the Brew and in Convenience store.

4. What are the dorm and room options?

Dorm assignments vary based on application submission date rather than student status. Freshmen are usually placed in shared rooms in Melody Hall and Connor Hall, Viles and Crimmins is filled by preference and application submission date. Depending on availability, students who are 21 or older may qualify for more private housing options. All room assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis.

5. Are animals allowed to live in the dorms as well?
No pets of any kind are allowed to live in the dorms. Please discuss service animals with us for approval.

Returning NMHU Students

Housing offers returning NMHU students the opportunity to participate in the room selection process. From March 5th to 23rd, all returning students can complete their housing applications. Once submitted, students are ranked based on the order of their application submissions. On March 24th, students will receive timeslots to select their rooms for the Fall semester.

New NMHU Student
The new student housing application opens on February 5th. New NMHU students will begin receiving room assignments on April 1st, after returners have had the opportunity to select their rooms for the Fall. Once the returner deadline passes, new students will be assigned rooms based on the order of their application submission and preferences.
