Credit for College Board Advanced Placement and CLEP Examinations
Advanced Placement (AP) is a program that offers year-long college-level curricula and examinations to high school students. The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a group of standardized tests that assess college-level knowledge in 36 subject areas and provide a mechanism for earning college credits without taking college courses. Both AP and CLEP programs are administered through the College Board.

Highlands University recognizes student academic accomplishments gives equivalent NMHU credits based on scores achieved on AP and CLEP exams. Please refer to the following links for complete details on AP and CLEP:

CLEP Exams
NMHU has only examined CLEP exams as they apply to the General Core. Courses listed here that are not part of NMHU general core will transfer to NMHU as a general elective.
