This letter serves as formal notification and official record of action taken concerning New Mexico Highlands University by the Institutional Actions Council of the Higher Learning Commission at its meeting on January 25, 2021.
These HLC Newsletters are published periodically to keep the campus community informed about various accreditation-related activities. A list of these newsletters is provided below. We archive anything older than a year.

If the real estate mantra is “location, location, location,” the HLC mantra seems “document, document, document.” This theme surfaced repeatedly and underscores the importance of making sure that we are not only doing the right thing, but documenting what we are doing. Any activities that may be relevant to our ongoing and future accreditation efforts should be carefully and systematically documented. This will allow us to demonstrate, clearly and thoroughly, at any time, that we are in full compliance with HLC expectations.
