New Mexico Highlands University School of Social Work is pleased to know that you are interested in pursuing a graduate degree in social work. Our school has been accredited by the Council on Social Work Education for more than 25 years, making us the oldest accredited social work programs in New Mexico.

Our school prides itself in having a curriculum that specifically focuses on educating social workers to work specifically with Hispanic and Native American populations of New Mexico and the southwest. The graduate program offers four distinct areas of concentration: clinical practice, government nonprofit, MSW, and government nonprofit MBA. One of the newest programs, the bilingual/bicultural practice, is offered at the main campus in Las Vegas. Our school is the only social work program to offer a concentration in bilingual social work practice, focusing on working with Spanish-speaking clients.

Our school has graduated more than 3,000 students since its inception and continues to attract a highly educated, motivated and committed student body who have a desire to help individuals, families, groups and communities to improve their quality of life. Our alumni have gone on to serve as administrators, researchers, community organizers, clinicians, elected officials, and in a variety of other areas within the social work profession.

Depending on your goals, students can attend on a full-time or part-time basis at one of our four program locations. We invite you to call us at 1.877.850.9064 to see what track best meets your educational needs.
