Las Vegas, N.M. – New Mexico Highlands University music professor and tenor vocalist Andre García-Nuthmann will be a featured soloist in the “Mad About Love” concert and dessert Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. at the Plaza Hotel Ballroom.

Also starring in the concert is VanAnn Moore, a Belen, New Mexico soprano vocalist who has performed globally as a singer and actress. Her concert tours include the United States, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, China, and Japan.

“This concert is a selection of love songs both romantic and comic,” García-Nuthmann said. “The majority of the love songs come from musical theater like ‘Phantom of the Opera,’ ‘Showboat,’ ‘Annie Get Your Gun,’ and ‘South Pacific.’ The audience is in for a fun night of entertainment.”

He is a longtime member of the New Mexico Bach Society Chorale, which is part of the New Mexico Performing Arts Society.
