Las Vegas, N.M. – There will be a new place in Las Vegas to enjoy lunch, thanks to Highlands University.
Beginning Aug. 21, Highlands will offer $5 lunches every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the university’s dining hall in the Student Center at 800 National Ave.
“We want to invite the Las Vegas community onto our campus to share the cuisine our food service, Sodexo, provides,” said Kimberly Blea, Highlands University dean of students. “We decided to expand this program to three days a week because of its popularity when it was offered only on Wednesdays.”
The menu options include the featured hot meal of the day, which includes a vegetarian selection, as well as a fresh salad bar and made-to-order grilled foods like hamburgers and stir-fry. Various pizzas are also available.
Blea said the $5 lunches are a great value with an all-you-can-eat buffet, which includes a beverage and dessert. Cash or credit cards will be accepted.
The main entrance to the Highlands dining hall in the Student Center is through the first-floor atrium on National Avenue and 8th Street. Parking is available in the university’s lot at 8th Street and Columbia Street as well as on the street.
Beginning Aug. 21, the daily menus will be online. For more information, call Sodexo at 505-426-2153.
