NMHU Annual Green Chile Roast

As the NMHU community celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month, the Office of the President would like to invite you to NMHU’s Annual Green Chile Roast! We are excited to enjoy New Mexico’s favorite time of the year as we celebrate our rich culinary heritage.
Date: September 22, 2023 Time: The Roasting Demonstration begins at 9:00 a.m., and the distribution begins at 1:00 p.m.
Location: NMHU Cultural Park
This event promises to be a vibrant celebration of our local culture and cuisine, and we hope you’ll be part of it. Here’s what you can look forward to:
Green Chile Roasting: Our team of expert roasters will be on hand to fire-roast fresh green chiles. The tantalizing aroma of chiles sizzling on the open flame is an experience you won’t want to miss.
Taste-Testing: Sample the roasted chiles with fresh Charlie’s tortillas to discover their unique heat. Whether you prefer mild or extra spicy, there’s something for everyone.
Community Gathering: This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow students, faculty, staff, and community members.
