“Born in Chimayo and raised in Rociada, North of Las Vegas, NM, Amina Sena received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from New Mexico Highlands University. As Forest Hydrologist, she supported restoration of watershed conditions across the forest, including after the HPCC fire. Sena has also served as Watershed Restoration Director at the Hermit’s Peak Watershed Alliance, and before that, the Restoration Monitoring Program Manager at the NM Forest and Watershed Restoration Institute. Sena began her career as the staff Hydrologist on the Red Rock Ranger District, in Sedona, Arizona. She has also served on missions abroad through the US Forest Service International Programs Department and has contributed to International Seminars in the United States. Amina is also a proud mom of two beautiful children and together they enjoy all the activities the outdoors offers.”
