Guest lecturer Dr. Gergely Guszmann will speak on “Understanding the Russian Invasion of Ukraine” on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at HU’s Student Union Building Room 322 beginning at 6 p.m. with Zoom access. Dr. Guszmann is an Associate Professor, History Institute, Department of Modern History at Eszterházy Károly University, Eger, Hungary. His fields of expertise are in Social and Cultural History of 19th Century Europe, Culture and Society in South Asia; Nationalism and Nation-building Processes in Europe; International Relations in the Post-Cold War World; and Modern Historiography. His Ph.D. is in Social History, Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary.
