New Mexico Legislative Lottery Scholarship
Qualifications
New Mexico resident; immediately enroll in postsecondary after receipt of high school diploma from an accredited New Mexico high school or GED.
Eligibility Criteria for Legacy Students (those who have received lottery for 3 or more semesters before Fall 2014)
Complete a minimum 12 credit hours with a minimum 2.5 GPA each semester.
Amount: Tuition (or some portion thereof as determined by the Higher Education Department annually) for a regular semester of full time enrollment for up to eight (8) consecutive semesters of undergraduate eligibility.
Eligibility Criteria for New Students (those who have less than 3 semesters of lottery before Fall 2014)
Enroll for and complete a minimum 15 credit hours with a minimum 2.5 GPA each semester.
Amount: Tuition (or some portion thereof as determined by the Higher Education Department annually) for regular semester of full-time enrollment upon completion of 15 credit hours with a 2.5 GPA for up to seven (7) consecutive semesters of undergraduate eligibility.
Deadlines & Application
Immediately enroll in postsecondary after receipt of a high school diploma from an accredited New Mexico high school or GED. No application required. Transfer students must submit a NM Scholarship Transfer Transcript form from prior school awarding lottery.
Presidential Gold Scholarship
Qualifications: New Mexico resident; immediately enroll in postsecondary after high school graduation from an accredited New Mexico high school.
Eligibility: 3.75 HS gpa and 25 ACT
Amount: $4,500 ($2,750 first semester / $1,750 second semester)
Will convert to Legislative Lottery Scholarship second and subsequent eligible semesters; plus $1,250 campus housing, board and book allowances with completion of 15 credit hours and 2.5 gpa first semester.
Otherwise, $1,750 second semester: renewable for an additional 7 semesters at $750 per semester with completion of 15 credits and 2.5 gpa second and subsequent semesters or $1,750 per semester with completion of 15 credits and 3.0 gpa in second and subsequent semesters.
Deadlines & Application
Admission process must be complete by March 1st; thereafter, complete the NMHU scholarship application process, awards may be made pending the availability of funds.
Presidential Silver Scholarship
Qualifications: New Mexico resident; immediately enroll in postsecondary after high school graduation from an accredited New Mexico high school.
Eligibility: 3.5 HS gpa and 22 ACT
Amount: $3,500 ($2,250 first semester/ $1,250 second semester)
Will convert to Legislative Lottery scholarship second and subsequent eligible semesters; plus $750 campus housing and book allowance with completion of 15 credits and a 2.5 gpa first semester.
Otherwise, $1,250 second semester: renewable for an additional 7 semesters at $750 per semester with the completion of 15 credits and 2.5 gpa in the second and subsequent semesters or $1,250 per semester with completion of 15 credits and 3.0 gpa in second and subsequent semesters.

Freshman Success Scholarship
Qualifications: New Mexico resident; immediately enroll in postsecondary after high school graduation from an accredited New Mexico high school.
Eligibility: HS GPA of 2.5 to 2.99.
Amount: $1,500 ($1,000 first semester/ $500 second semester)
Will convert to Legislative Lottery Scholarship second and subsequent eligible semesterswith completion of 15 credit hours and 2.5 gpa.
Otherwise, $500 for second semester and renewable for an additional 7 semesters at $500 per semester with the completion of 15 credits and a 2.5 gpa.

Dean's Scholarship
Qualifications: New Mexico resident; immediately enroll in postsecondary after high school graduation from an accredited New Mexico high school.
Eligibility: 3.0 HS gpa
Amount: $2,300 ($1,650 first semester / $650 second semester)
Will convert to Legislative Lottery scholarship second and subsequent eligible semesters; plus $150 book award second semester with completion of 15 credits and 2.5 gpa first semester.
Otherwise, $650 second semester and renewable for an additional 7 semesters at $650 per semester with completion of 15 credits and 2.5 gpa in second and subsequent semesters.

College Incentive Grant
Qualifications: New Mexico resident; immediately enroll in postsecondary after high school graduation from an accredited New Mexico high school.
Eligibility: HS GPA 2.0 to 2.49
Amount: $1,000 ($500 per semester)
Will convert to Legislative Lottery Scholarship second and subsequent eligible semesters with completion of 15 credits and 2.5 gpa.
Otherwise, $500 for second semester and renewable for 7 additional semesters with completion of 15 credit hours and 2.5 gpa in the second and subsequent semesters.
