Guidance counselors from Robertson High School in Las Vegas, New Mexico, Amadee Duran, left, and Geralyn Montoya participated in the free workshop at Highlands Feb. 1 for high school and community college counselors and education leaders. Duran and Montoya are both Highlands alumnae, earning their master’s degrees in guidance and counseling as well as their bachelor’s degrees at the university. More than 55 counselors and education leaders attended the workshop, which the Highlands Office of Student Recruitment and Undergraduate Admissions sponsored in collaboration with the campus community.
